Korean Toolbox is a small collection of free tools for people learning Korean: a romanizer, a number converter, a name generator, an online keyboard, an alphabet chart, a reading quiz, vocabulary flashcards in 12 themes, a typing test and a typing game. Next to the tools, our blog explains the parts of Korean that textbooks rush through, like when to use which number system or why words sound different from how they are spelled.
Why we built it
Many Korean tools online are old, cluttered or wrong in small ways that confuse beginners. We wanted tools that are fast on a phone, explain why an answer is what it is, and follow the official rules of the National Institute of Korean Language.
How we check our content
- Romanization follows the Revised Romanization of Korean (2000).
- Loanword spellings follow the official Loanword Orthography (외래어 표기법).
- Grammar and pronunciation notes follow the Standard Korean Dictionary and Standard Pronunciation rules.
- Articles are reviewed for accuracy, and we fix mistakes as soon as readers point them out.
Free to use
Every tool is free and works without an account. Text you type stays in your browser. The site is supported by ads.
